About me
A few fun facts:
I’m NYC-based, classically-trained actor with 25+ years of stage experience
I’m an Audie-nominated audiobook narrator with 125+ titles under my belt
I also have 50k+ TikTok followers who tune in to my live-stream recording sessions (only when granted permission)
I am a New York-based, classically-trained actor with 25+ years of stage experience who somehow amassed a 50k TikTok following. It all began with a pandemic pivot when the Broadway theaters shut down, and work began to pour into my recording booth. Now, I’m an Audie-nominated audiobook narrator with 125+ titles under my belt.
My narrations range between the-world-is-a-hard place (“Amy Hutchins”) to the heart opening stories (“Amelia Hugh”). No matter which name I narrate under, I use the recording booth to travel to foreign places armed with every accent I can learn.
Amy Hutchins: While narrating under my own name, I often portray the vulnerability of characters who have their guards up. They can come off as flawed or abrasive, but when you peel back their layers, their vulnerable humanity emerges. If you’re looking for Amy’s samples, check out my Amy Hutchins’ Audiobooks Page.
Amelia Hugh: While narrating as Amelia Hugh, my Fantasy and Romance pseudonym, I open my heart to the story and go on the character’s journey without judgement. For Amelia Hugh’s samples, check out my Amelia Hugh’s Audiobooks Page.
Accents: My mother, a speech pathologist, always said I was able to sing before I could speak. I’ve always had an ear for melodies and languages, as well as a love for travel. This combination led to my completely nerdy fascination with accents and dialects. I’m fluent in Spanish, I learned Italian for a trip to Italy, I studied some German. I’ve performed in so many accents and dialects on stage and in the booth. Hear every accent I can do an more on my Accents Page.
I also love to live-stream my recording sessions (when granted permission) which draws new audiences to my authors, their stories, and our audiobook productions. I’ve found that it increases sales, especially for Indie Authors, and raises visibility for our productions among my voracious Discord followers.
Whether immersing myself in an audiobook, a play, or foreign culture, I love the practice of putting myself in other people's shoes. At the heart of all of these is the human experience.
(With Gina White, Jeremy Carlisle Parker, myself, and Khai Dattoli at the 2025 Audie Awards)
(With Michael Stewart Allen, Book of Will, Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, directed by Bonnie Monte)
(On vacation in Scotland, soaking up the accents)
